Episode #20: Ed's Comics Roar Alive! Aliens Attack?!

It has been a six days sense the world was put in a state of piece by the Neo Earths Special Forces.The setting is inside an undisclosed Air Force base; a communications officer in standard apparel is contacting patrols and checking status of various patrols.

“Eagle 1, standing by”

“Eagle 3, detecting an UFO with a light blue trail at 025, requesting further instruction.”

“Eagle 4, detecting what appears to be a firefight near Waypoint Alpha. Local authorities are engaging an unknown enemy, and are losing ground quickly.”

“Eagle 1, assist Oscar 3 in engaging UFO,” The operator instructed, Lima 1 complying in response. “Eagle 3 engage UFO,” No answer, “Eagle 3?”

“HQ this is Eagle 1, Eagle 3 has been shot down by another UFO, a big one at tha-”

“Sir, all contact with our patrols has been lost.” The operator reported to his Air Marshall, who sternly went to personally report this at the Pentagon. There, various high level military officials and the Commander in Chief himself waited.

“Marshall, this has been the third time in the past few days that we lost contact with patrol craft when encountering UFOs. This is starting to present a threat to national security; we need answers to this problem.” The President opened, there was no sign of political or intellectual stupidity in his face, only that of dead seriousness.

“The governments of various European Union nations have been reporting increased sightings of UFOs in their former Colonies as well as Europe. Additional activity has been detected in China, Japan, Russia and many other regions across the globe. So far, there have been no confirmed hostilities except for here but the prognosis looks grim. Sir, we may be on the verge of global invasion.” The Secretary of Defense exchanged a similar look of grave nature.

“Utonium must have been in on it, we know he was affiliated with extraterrestrial forces during the School Wars. It seems that if he were to be defeated, his ET buddies could invade. Hell, Utonium may have been the only thing holding back something even worse. “President Bush announced, expressing more concern for his nation and its people than any amount of petrol. “Dispatch Mr. Noodle, have him contact the Earth Special Forces immediately, we don’t have much time.”

The next day, Peach Creek was full of the sounds of combat, which had been absent for what felt like an eternity. No training had been done up on the hill, only rest and some private training away from the area...

"C'mon, you can do better than this! Make me work for it!"

"Drew, you know I don't usually fight at my fullest in spars!"

This was Drew and Double-D arguing, the former of whom was on the offensive while the other was on the defensive and appearing to lose badly. Eventually, the hat wearing kid reared back and landed a swift kick to Drew's stomach, coughing him to spit a little.

"Not bad..." Drew commeted. "Not good enough, either."

Twin streaks, one red, one yellow, raced through the forest surrouding Peach Creek.

"Good, good, you've upped your speed a little!" Streak said, utilizing his Raiken x10. He now sported a red vest in addition to his white pants.

"So have you," said Corey, utilizing his Kaioken x10.

The two continued their race.

Ed and Eddy were also sparring nearby.

"C'mon, Lumpy, gimme your best shot!"

"Okay, Eddy, can you take it?!"

The two traded punches, with Ed having a small lead. Eventually, though, Eddy swiftly elbowed his larger friend in the ribs, sending Ed back.

Makuta stood atop a boulder at the training site. His attire had changed slightly in the form of a longer sash around his waist. He watched Ed and Eddy spar a ways away and than turned to his current objective.

Savannah and Alysha were in the midst of creating a small fort made of rocks of various sizes. While their parents were away training, they left Makuta to watch them...

Jasper was now fully repaired and was given a stronger metallic skin in hopes to prevent damage like he sustained from happening a second time. His old clothing was completely destroyed so he needed to buy a new set. His old long sleeved black sweated was replaced with a black jacked with red streaks on the sleeves which were rolled up to his elbows. Jasper leaves his jacket open so the dark green T-shirt can be seen, he also changed from green pants to dark blue jeans. Finally his old shoes were replaced with black sneakers which were red on the bottom.

Jasper was watching Drew and Edd spar from the sidelines, Jasper’s mood had changed after he defeated Otis and he was no longer quick to rage out. His personality had also changed a bit from before, and the other could not explain how but he seemed to act a bit more human than before.

Kale was a few mile away from the training sight and inside the forest under a large acorn tree. Kales old clothing was stained with his blood so he was given new cloths from Makuta. Kale was now wearing a long sleeved saiyan armor that Terra had developed off of Guriot’s armor design. However this saiyan armor was designed with long sleeves with guards on the wrists, shoulders, and stomach areas. Kale was also wearing dark gray pants and light gray sneakers.

Kale’s right arm had also changed since the day it was removed; Thanks to the quick thinking of his master he was transplant with a Namekian arm. Kale was greatful for being given a second chance at being a swordsman and had not taken it for granted but he has also not used his new arm since the day of the transplant. Kale made a promise to himself that he would not use his new arm till he felt he was worthy of using it.

Kale struck the tree with the heel of his foot and caused it to tremble enough so that the acorns would begin to fall off the branches. Kale began to slice away at them and thanks to his fully developed sensing ability he was able to cut a good amount of them in half. When Kale was finished he was happy that he was able to hit his target more often than before.

"I'll bring you back Zymon! And when I do, I won't stop and till the both of us see Dazarak dead! I'M NOT GOING TO LET THIS THING TAKE YOUR BODY!"

Tai Mas eyelids ripped open, as he fell back out of his meditative stance. He caught himself as he fell back, and his hair went into the water of the waterfall behind him. He had replaced his casual whit hoodie for a black long sleeve v-neck, which adorned a white stripe on the left sleeve (between the shoulder and elbow). He wore similar enough blue jeans, as well as "stylish" new sneakers with a white and blue coloration.

He never did find Zymon, and he truly had no idea where his apprentice was now. The thirty one year old Saiyan stood, and began to walk through the forest toward the training site.

After a few minutes, he was passed by two blurs, one red and the other yellow. Tai Ma smiled for a moment, than his mind returned to Zymon as he continued to walk.

Rolf stood atop a cliff that oversaw the training site. He observed Drew and Double D sparring and Ed and Eddy's match. He caught a glimpse of two streaks racing into the forest; this made him smile. A gentle breeze caused his cape to flutter behind him. Rolf had been uneasy over the past few days and not just because of the whole Utonium incident but also he felt a bit of paranoia. Rolf dropped to one knee and grabbed a handful of dirt before sniffing it carefully. The odor was suspicious and so the Son of a Shepherd quickly tasted the dirt before spitting it out.

"The soil has been leached! May Rolf's ancestors enlist the protection of Odin."

Rolf decided it was time to get back to training and so he quickly created two clones of himself and began a two on one spar. Rolf caught two incoming fists before back flip kicking the two clones away. Rolf landed gracefully on the ground despite the fact that he was wearing heavy weighted armor. The two clones charged again but Rolf was ready for them and blasted them with a rapid fire volley of energy blasts. The clones were sent flying which gave Rolf a few seconds to think to himself.

"Rolf must train harder for whatever lies ahead. The perils must not be ignored!"

Corey and Streak continued their run throughout the forest, Corey flying past obstacles while Streak utilized Parkour. To Corey's surprise, Streak was edging him out, however it soon diminished when he recalled how the Raiken functioned. It enhanced speed more than strength or defensive capabilities, making it a more focused version of the Kaioken.

"That Raiken is something..." Corey called out. "Tell me, do you know of any other elemental power boosters?"

"All I can tell you is that each elemental clan has their own variation. Fire element probably boosts attack strength, Earth defense strength...Water, I think turns them into strong swimmers, and Wind...speed boost, I think."

"I see." Corey said. "Gonna have to apply myself a little harder than this if I want to pass them. How do you know about the other clans, though? Back in the School Wars, you weren't allowed to spar with outsiders until much later."

"Every year, we have an annual festival where the five clans come together. To this day, why we have it eludes me, but I know it dates back at least 100 years." Streak responded.

Drew and Edd continued their spar. This time, Edd was actually on the offensive, if only a little.

"Good, good, Sockhead!" Drew said, parrying a series of punches from the hat-wearing boy.

Ed and Eddy charged together, locking hands in a physical struggle. This turned out to be a mistake, for Ed soon easily overpowered Eddy in strength and kicked him in the chest sending him flying back.

Savannah and Alysha continued their fort, which was now some twenty feet tall. Savannah had grown bored however. She yawned and sat down, leaning on the stone building. She crossed her arms and thought. Alysha walked over to her, and watched her sister puff her cheeks in concentration.

"Oh! I know!" Savannah laughed, jumping up. She backed away from the fort, and followed.

"What are you..." Alysha began, before being silenced by a sharp "Shhhush!" from her sibling. She looked over the fort, acknowledging every stone. She was definitely showing signs of concentration that didn't seemed to suit her. After a few moments, she snapped her fingers. She than frowned.

"I was trying to figure out which stone to pull out to make it fall..." Savannah began, puffing her cheeks out again, "..but they all look the same."

Alysha sighed, and looked over to the fort. She almost immediatly raised her hand, and sent a ki bolt out with a single finger. At this moment, Makuta looked back to the Twins, just as the fort began to crumble. Makuta didn't have the time to shout as the rocks of the fort fell, and landed down on a certain Android...

Just when Jasper was getting bored he was hit with a surprise, literally. Jasper was now under some rubble of which he immediately knew was from the twins vault. The Twins stared at the rubble for a while until Jaspers head popped out from it.

“Is this how you watch over children?” Jasper said as he got up from under the rubble.

“The only children I’ve watched are the ones I’ve actually trained with” Makuta said without looking back at the android. At this same time on a different area Corey gave a strong sneeze.

“Ah dude, cover your mouth next time” said streak as he whipped the spit off of his face.

Back in the forest where Kale was there was a loud sound echoing around it which sounded like tiny footsteps. Kale could be seen running through the forest with a freaked out look on his face as he took big steps and swung his arms.

“Why does this happen every time!” Kale said as he continued to run away, from behind him there was an army of squirrels chasing him. It turned out he disturbed their nest when he was training and now they were pissed. Eventually Kale lost them and he was finally free to go back to the others in the training sight.

“I am going to have to find a new place to train” Kale thought to himself as he continued to fly towards the others.

Rolf dodged a kick before countering with a spinning kick that knocked the first clone into a nearby tree before flipping over a Kamehameha beam that was launched from the second clone. Rolf spun his body rapidly and drilled underground before bursting through the ground underneath the second clone and getting him in a full nelson. The second clone struggled to escape Rolf's grip but the Son of a Shepherd's grip was too strong.

Ed and Eddy were going all out against each other and were holding nothing back. Eddy was hitting Ed with too many blows for the dimwitted Ed to block. Ed, having enough of getting hit, unleashed his energy in a small explosion and pushed Eddy back. Eddy flipped several times to regain his balance in the air before settling himself back into his fighting stance.

"Let's finish this Ed!"

"I Lothar will defeat you!"

The two Eds collided and began trading blows so fast that they appeared to be a cartoon cloud in which two or more individuals fight. The "cloud" made its way toward Drew and Edd's side of the training grounds. Double D charged Drew, who was prepared for Double D, at full speed but before he could hit Drew the "cloud" in which his fellow Eds were fighting in sucked him in, leaving a confused Drew to stare with anime style eyes.

Back with Rolf:

The first clone attempted to sneak up on Rolf from behind and hit him with a surprise attack, however, Rolf saw this coming and proceeded to throw the second clone into the first so hard that the two clones disappeared. Rolf smiled, satisfied with the progress he was making with his training before turning around just in time to see a "cloud" hurtling towards him at great speed. Rolf was too confused to dodge and so he was hit full force by the "cloud" and sent crashing hard into the side of a nearby hill. Rolf had stars floating over his head as he pulled himself out and saw the Eds on the ground holding their heads in pain. Except Ed, who was too busy laughing. The Son of a Shepherd's anger exploded and the Eds snapped to attention.

"Ed boys! You have broken the celery stalk on the back of a sea urchin! How dare you interrupt the Son of a Shepherd's training! Shacklava!"

"Please Rolf it was just an accident. there's no need to-" Said Double D before being cut off by Ed yanking him away and taking off at a run with Eddy under his other arm.

The Eds ran across the training site with Rolf running after them in hot pursuit with a pitch fork in his hands that no one dared ask where he got it from. Drew was still confused as he watched Rolf chase the Eds as though they were prey.

"Run away!"

"Come on Rolf it was an accident!"

"Please Rolf can't we discuss this like gentlemen?!"

Rolf paid no attention to their words and simply kept chasing after them. Meanwhile Corey and Streak were nearing completion on their race. They sped past the forest and neared the training site. The race was a close one and there was no clear winner so far and so the two sped on. Rolf, meanwhile, leaped to grab the Eds. The camera goes to slow motion as the Eds scream in fear as Rolf is about to catch them. Luckily for them, however, Streak and Corey were running right by them and so instead of grabbing the Eds, Rolf accidently grabbed Streak, who out of reflex shocked the hell out of not only Rolf but everyone around him as well. Streak skidded to a halt as he turned to see the saiyans on the ground,smoking.

A featureless, black two-door sedan cruised down the main highway linking Peach Creek to its neighbor Lemon Brook, before pulling into a dirt road leading into the hills through the forest. The car smoothly glided across the path, maintaining a speed that was the perfect compromise of urgent rushing and calm, Sunday driving. Inside the car were white, leather seats and upholstery, a walnut dashboard and a man in an obsidian black suit with matching tie and shoes. The main had short, curly hair, and was wearing sunglasses and a headset speaking through it.

"...Swiftwind, I have just pulled into the path to the designated waypoint. I'm picking up readings of several isolated energy spikes, seems to be sparing in progress. E.T.A. two minutes."

"Copy, Mr. Noodle, shorten your destination by two hundred meters, then deploy signal flare. Do not get yourself killed, Swiftwind out."

Casually putting away the headset with one hand, Mr. Noodle continued his trek into the forest before reaching a small opening in the other side. His car now somewhat out in the open, he calmly slowed to a complete stop, parked and got out. In his hand was a flare gun which was to be used to summon the heroes, in the he fidgeted with his set of keys until he grasped the one for the trunk. Ready to begin stage two, Mr. Noodle pointed the flare gun straight above his head and fired, the red fire ball darting into the sky. Now, he just had to wait, it may take a few moments, but eventually one of the groups will come to investigate and gather the rest.

As Kale flew trough the air, he was suddenly encomposed in a red light as a flare moved incredibly close to him. Being..you know, he did not even notice.

Tai Ma continued walking, and looked up to see a red flare shooting through the air....

Makuta looked over to see the red light as well, and the Twins were the next to notice.

"Ohhh....pretty..." Savannah giggled.

Corey slowly picked himself up to his feet, his Kaioken turned off. Just as he turned, fully intent on giving Streak a slight berating for the unintentional shock, the heroes' heads craned up to see a red flash fill the sky.

"What was that about?" Corey asked.

Drew landed nearby, looking at the carnage first. He too, had obviously seen the flare.

"That was a flare, obviously, but what could it mean...?"

The heroes, namely the Vets, began flying towards the red flare, leaving their trainees confused for the moment.

Kale was able to since the others heading in his direction and wondered why all of the vets were flying together. However he did not get a chance to ask as they flew passed him without saying a word. Kale stopped flying and looked back as he continued to trace them flying towards the other direction.

“Wonder where they’re going” Kale asked himself before he continued his way to the other trainees. When Kale landed he saw that all of them were in one area waiting for something.

“Did I miss something?” Kale asked trying to figure out what was going on.

“Didn’t you see the flair?” asked Eddy which caused the others to grow silent due to Eddy forgetting that Kale was blind.

“Nope, I was too busy staring at the double rainbow” Kale joked to lighten the mood.

Mr. Noodle looked up into the sky, sure enough the heroes investigated the source of the flare and were now wondering where it came from. Eventually one of the newer Saiyans; namely the short one in the yellow shirt pointed to Mr. Noodle and descended, the others quickly following.

Knowing that the entire group wasn't here yet, the man in the black suit did not hesitate in introducing himself. "I am Mr. Noodle of the Central Intelligence Agency." Noodle proceeded to pull out his wallet and show his badge, the Veterans stood to attention, the others remained quiet. "Last night three fighter craft on a routine patrol were reported MIA over a small rural town a few miles away from Aaron City." Mr. Noodle took a brief stop for a straggler to show up, before continuing. "The last contact with the town was a call from a local resident this morning, most of the message was unintelligible but it leads to the conclusion that something very grim happened there."

"And you want us to go check it out?" Corey asked,

"Yes, if this was not of the utmost importance, we would not have contacted you. Time is of the essence, gather your comrades and head out."

"Sir, just what are we supposed to expect when we get there?" Drew pointed out,

"That is on a need-to-know basis, Drew. Stay alert, and be prepared for anything. One last thing, I need to see Android Zero before he leaves, I have a... present for him. Dismissed."

The vest all flew off leaving Jasper behind to be given whatever present it was that Mr. Noodle had to give him.

“Okay what is this present you have” Jasper said as he walked forward towards Mr. Noodle. Mr. Noodle walked towards the back of his car and opened the trunk.

“My superiors thought that this would be useful to your group” he said as he pulled out a round blue object which was as big as a car tire. Mr. Noodle walked up to Jasper and placed the object upright on the ground in front of Jasper. Jasper stared at the object for a few moments and tried to figure out what exactly it was supposed to be.Suddenly the object began to open up and transform until it resembled some kind of robotic armadillo. Jasper stepped in to get a closer look at the robotic animal and it looked as if it was looking back at him as well.

“High there!” said the robot with a childlike voice and a wave of a hand which caused Jasper to jump a little from not expecting it to talk.

Mr. Noodle placed his hands behind his back and began to speak again. "This is Bolt, a miniature supercomputer and service droid, specially created to tailor to the needs of your mission. Once you have returned, make sure all of you check in with Bolt so that it can familiarise itself with all of you."

"Is it possible Bolt could come with us and maybe even fight?" Jasper enquired,

"Yes and no; Bolt can indeed join the group for scouting and observation purposes, but must avoid combat at all times. However, Bolt should not join the group just now, there are too many unknowns right now, and Bolt is a multi-billion dollar project. We can not afford to lose it willy nilly." Mr. Noodle replied in a dry, serious manner, yet Jasper suspected that the C.I.A. agent knew more than he was letting on. "I'll be back when you all return." The agent opened up his car door and got in. Mr. Noodle closed the door and drove off back down the dirt road he came in from.

"You should go now with the rest before you fall too far behind, Android Zero." Bolt chirped, looking up at the Android. Jasper could not wait any longer and ascended into the sky, in hot pursuit of the others energy signatures.

The vets continued their flight towards the specified location, when suddenly Drew halted in his tracks.

"Wait," said Drew. "I don't think all of us should leave Peach Creek. If this situation is urgent, it could impact the city as well." The Saiyan turned to the city. "Some of us better stay behind."

"I'll do it," said Corey. "You're the commander from the School Wars, after all."

"We should also see if our trainees want to come with us as well..." Tai Ma suggested.

"Right, good idea. They could use all the field experience possible." Drew observed.

"I'll go with you as well," said Streak. "Lord knows I need the practice..."

"Well come along then," responded Drew, crossing his arms. "Everyone else, staying or going?"

"I'm going, and taking Kale. I'd like to see how he well he can fight with..." Makuta began, and found himself a bit lost for words. The others nodded for a moment. Looking over to Tai Ma, Makuta could clearly see a form of emptiness in his eyes.

Overall, Drew, Ed, Double-D, Streak, Makuta, Kale, and Rolf agreed to go on the mission. The rest of the NESF and their trainees stayed behind in Peach Creek to keep a close watch on the situation. As the seven began to converge on the location, those not in on the current situation began to ask why they were being brought along.

OOC: I couldn't think of how else to advance this.

An unknown figure sits in the forest wearing a black cloak with one glowing red eye and when blueish eye. He looks around and says to himself.

He smells the air around him. "We haven't smelled that sent in quite some time. It's so good to finally smell them. But we shall not interfere."

"Smart boy." He says in another voice. "We're learning quickly. We deserve a treat!" he says standing up. "How bout we feast on the souls of what they kill."

"Sick fuck." He says as his voice turns back to normal. "We're not moving from this spot as long as you're alive. I won't even power up."

"Damn it!" He says sitting back down "Fine!"

The team of seven of heroes were flying fast towards the specified location. Kale and Ed really didn't question what was going on but Double D and Rolf were a bit curious as to what was going on. Being the more assertive of the two, Rolf decided to find out for himself.

"Spikey haired elder Drew-boy, where do you lead Rolf?"

Drew ignored the first part of Rolf's statement before replying.

"We've been called to investigate a strange case in a town a few miles away from Aaron City."

"Strange? How so?" Asked Double D.

"Well a few fighter craft were reported missing in action by a local resident." Replied Drew.

"That is strange. I hope we can help."

Everyone nodded in agreement as they sped towards their destination faster.

Everyone remained silent for the rest of the trip, and after a few minutes of flying a they reached a small town that fit Mr. Noodle's description. Aaron City's skyscrapers were on the horizon and were gradually covered by trees and houses as they descended. The group was at the middle of the town, and no matter where they looked, there were blood stains. The question on everyone's mind was:

"Where is everyone?" Streak was to first to say, still looking around. Cars were left abandoned in the streets only for blood puddles and small pieces of gore to lay beside them. There weren't birds chirping or any sign of life, the town was dead silent.

"I don't sense anyone for miles, gentlemen. I suggest we exercise caution when we investigate." Double D added, his voice gave away his slight fear.

"This is just like 'Enforcer: Apocalypse From the Genesis Interceptors' guys!" Ed enthusiastically commented,

"Really, Ed? And what happens next in the game?" Kale asked the tall, green and stupid Saiyan. The thought that it may have been a dumb thing to do immediately followed in his head.

"This is the level when the secret agents are lead into an ambush, and despite being outnumbered five hundred to one, put up a valiant defense only to be horribly slaughtered by the enemy and their families and friends butchered into gooey, red jelly for their breakfast pastries!" Ed was already on the verge of acting out the particular scenes.

"Ed! Enough. We need to find the fighter jet and any survivors who can give us insight on what happened here. Let's split up, Ed checks the school and the adjacent area. Double D checks the church, Rolf searches the stores, Makuta, check the sewers. Streak and Kale search the houses, I will look for a possible crash site in the fields. Once you're done, return here with whoever or whatever you can find that can help us." The school and the church were on opposite ends of the town and the small collection of houses a few hundred yards away. Being at the main street, the small businesses were close by and Drew was standing right next to a manhole. The fields were just a few hundred yards away towards Aaron City. "Let's move out."

All Groups, 15 Minutes Later

Makuta trudged through the grim that was the sewers of Aaron City. He used a constant, but insignificant, output of ki to keep the....chunks, off his pants. His Namekian eyes adapted to the darkness somewhat, better than a normal humans would for sure. This combined with what light did leak through from the surface, aloud him to travel through the dirty tunnels.

Makuta cept his senses out for any energy, but only found the presence of his allies moving towards their destinations in the distance.

Splash...

Makuta's ears picked up on just the slightest splash in the distance, something no doubt unnoticeable to normal ears. He stopped in his tracks, and squinted. He saw nothing, and his ears picked up no more sounds. His sixth sense searched for energy as well, but nothing on that front either.

Another splash came, no from behind the Namekian. He turned, creating a sphere of ki in his hand ready to fire. His energy illuminated the sewer with a maroon glow.

Makuta stood for another few seconds, before something brushed past his ankle. He jumped up in shock, and his energy ball bearing arm began its decent. But it was to late, for a humanoid figure shoved a darkish purple energy blast into his chest. The Namekian was sent flying back, not to damaged from the attack. The tunnels returned to darkness, and Makuta was submerged in water.

But it was not a true sneak attack for the attacker. Just as the attackers energy spiked upwards for the blast, Makuta managed to take and hold a lock on it. His ears were focused in its direction as well.

All of Makuta's senses locked onto the attacker. The Namekian slowly rose out of the water.

"There you are..." he said with a smile, sewer water dripping from his features.

Kale was searching one of the buildings in the area while scanning for any signs of life. Suddenly he felt some short spike in energy from the direction Makuta had gone searching.

“I should warn the others” Kale thought to himself as he was going to run out of the building he was in. before Kale could start running there was a sound coming from under him. Two hands shot out from the concert underneath him which grabbed him by the ankles.

“Crap, Ed was right!” yelled Kale as he was pulled into the ground before he could react.
