Episode #1: Call of Duty: Not a First-Person Shooter

The School Wars of 2001 had begun after George W. Bush made the worst presidential blunder of all time: signing in the No Child Left Behind Act. While here, in the real world, the act did more or less nothing, in this fictional world, it created a system in which teachers with questionable disiplinary procedures were held. In the Information Age, it didn't take long for the war to kick off, when videos of these incidents were smuggled onto file sharing sites and made public. When the public eye saw it, they were outraged and demanded a retraction. Those pushing for the act were questioned for treason, while the U.S. military had been sent in to handle the mess. Over time, several skilled martial artists joined the conflict, evening the odds. The war is at the midpoint...

Post character stats and introductions. Once all are accounted for, we can get started.

The city in ruins, cracks in the ground, abandoned cars doors wide open from people jumping out and simply running. A newspaper blew in the wind. On a abandoned shop, stood a Namekian, who had his arms crossed over his chest. He had a large resemblance to King Piccolo but with a purple outfit and a darker green skin tone. The unique symbol on his chest was also blue and grey.

“The civilians have evacuated… strange seeing such an important city so empty…” Makuta said. The city was Central City, the former capital of the United Federations. “Now where the hell are Terra and Alicia…” he murmured to himself, and tracked down their energies…

"Calm down Makuta," a feminine voice called out. A female stepped out of the darkened ally next to the shop on which Makuta stood. Her dark purple eyes glistened as the light touched her face. She wore a dark gray coat which seemed quite heavy. Her hair matched her coat.

Behind Makuta a male figure rose and landed on the shop. He had spiky brown hair that rose up about 5 inches. He wore a green gi and a yellow weighted training cape. "Lets cut the chatter, we have a job to do don't we?" He said looking at Makuta. Alicia, the female, jumped up and joined them. "Terra, Makuta, shall we?"

In another part of the city, a small boy with long, brown, spiky hair leapt about the cracked, wartorn city.

"So much destruction in such a short amount of time..." he lamented. "There has to be a different way we can do this...but no matter what, this is the only route we can really take in dealing with this crowd, isn't it?"

This was the Saiyan Corey. He had a white collar around his neck, with a teal gi, black shoes, and green wristbands and sash. Just then, an orange hedgehog appeared. He had no shirt, but a pair of light grey pants and green shoes. His spikes were long.

"So you're that Saiyan I'm supposed to meet. Funny, you don't seem that different from a human...'Corey', is it?" he said, extending a gloved hand to the boy.

"You must be Streak. I can't believe Drew hasn't said anything about you yet. " Corey said, shaking the hand. "It's a pretty sad situation when younger people like us fight better than expertly trained adults...but I guess I can't blame the President for this..."

In yet another part of the city, two teenage Saiyans stood back to back, seemingly surrounded by a horde of droids.

"Damned junkpiles..." said the one with an angular hairstyle, black along with his eyes and clothing. He had no shoes on, no wristbands and no undershirt. He only had a green sash on.

"Alright, Drew, whenever you're ready," said the one with the spikier hairstyle and widow's peak. His hair was a slightly different dark shade. His outfit was all red, a muscle shirt and pants, with white gloves and boots in the style of the Saiyans of old. Both gave a yell, and a purple/light blue energy mixture shot out, incinerating the surrounding enemies.

"Let's hope Corey met up with his ally. As soon as all the enlisted martial artists are here, the operation can begin...we're expecting medium to slightly heavy resistance, according to intel." said Drew. "Zach, I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg..."

"Well if you two hadn't walked off we'd be at the building already..." Makuta sighed, and they all ran down the street.

Their legs turned to blurs as they sped over the pavement. Makuta jumped over a few cars, and Terra and Alicia were next to each other in the lead.

"Well if the terminal does have the blueprints on this "Super School" then we can gain an upper hand in this game..." Alicia pondered to herself out loud.

In another part of the city another battle was happening as an older man was fighting off droids. "All this destruction because of one mans stupid decision" said the saiyan and former teacher Tai Ma.

Alicia closed her eyes. In her mind she could see an overhead map of the area. "If my calculations are correct, we aren't that far from the target location. About 1.609344 kilometers." Alicia announced. She opened her eyes and gazed at Makuta, then Terra, and finally back in front of her. Terra looked at a watch on his left wrist. On the watch was a mini scanner system. "Not picking up any hostiles..." He said, before he pressed a button on the watch and focused back on the path ahead.

They moved for another 10 minutes or so, in silence.

"This is to easy..." Makuta said, not slowing down.

"Way to state the obvious..." Terra replied. At that point they stoped.

"Were roughly three blocks from the building, and the terminal inside it..." Alicia pointed out. They all sensed a fighters energy no doubt in the middle of a battle, near the terminal.

"It must be Tai Ma... by now he's the only one that would be alone. Then where are the others?" Makuta said, not useing his Ki Sense for plot purposes or something. "Well were not gona be able to avoid conflict, considering Tai Ma is currently no doubt being overwelmed considering how close he is to the objective..."

"Lets go then..." Alicia said, smileing to Terra.

OOC: Stat Based Battle Soon...?

"Should we help, or continue to our target?" Terra questioned. "At the calculated rate of his power level dropping, it seems as if he might very well need out help!" Alicia replied.

The couples looked at Makuta, waiting for his decision.

Drew crouched down, and retrieved something from his waistband. It was an eyepiece, a model based off of old technology, alien to this world. It was known as a "Scouter", and was able to send and recieve messages. He attached the machine to his right eye, and pressed a few buttons on it. The glass over the eye was a light blue, while the one Zach had put over his eye was red.

"Attention, all martial artist units, this is the Command Unit! Come in, do you read?" Drew called out. Immediately, all the other Scouters across the battlefield rang out in signal...

Corey's Scouter rang. His green scouter affixed to his face, Corey pressed a button to recieve the transmission.

"This is Corey, Drew." Corey said unprofessionally.

"I see you've met your ally, Corey. Listen, we need for both of you to assist Tai Ma over by the building. It shouldn't be too far from where you are..." Drew's voice rang through. "You three will form the Lightning Fire team, since your...friend...there is a lightning-user, and Tai Ma, from what I understand, is a prominent fire user. And, if I recall correctly, your element is fire as well."

Streak had since pulled out a unit specially made to fit his head, and accepted the transmission.

"Understood, sir. Commencing Operation PENIS." Streak answered, cringing at the last word. "What?"

"Uh, what?" Corey asked, equally confused. Thankfully, Drew could explain.

"Penetrating Enemy Network Infrastructure & Security. It's not my fault my superior named the operation in such a phallic way," said Drew. "Anyway, go support Tai Ma against those droids!"

"Firewall Unit, this is Zach. Makuta, do you read me?" Zach asked.

Makuta heard a ringing from his Scouter, and took it out from his waistband and onto his ear.
Firewall Unit, this is Zach. Makuta, do you read me?

"Yes...this is Lieutenant Makuta of Firewall Unit..." Makuta replied to Zach threw the scouter. After a miniute, Zach explained things, and Makuta put his scouter away.

"Command Unit made contact. Operation PENIS is in commension." Makta said with a straight face. Terra's left eye twitched, and Alicia couldnt help but smile. They then both let out a chuckle. Makuta rose an eyebrow.

"...What?"

"Nothing you'd understand..." Alicia replied unable to keep a strait face. "Anyway, that means we go into the building?" Terra asked, starting to press buttons on his watch.

"We just need to wait until Corey and his companion back up Tai Ma and provide us coverfire" Makuta replied.

"Command Unit, out." said Drew, and both he and Zach used their Scouters to scout out everyone.

"Let's see, everyone's at 100...except for that 'Terra' guy and 'Alicia'. They're wearing their weights, bringing them down to 95..." Zach noted. "Alright. Looks like we're in pretty good shape."

"Our mission, Zach, is to hunt down the factory which is somewhere in these ruins and destroy it." Drew said. "Corey, Tai Ma and the furry have to keep things from blowing up in our faces. Terra, Alicia, and Makuta have to penetrate their security net and see what we can find. I guess that's why we got the phallic acronym."

"Can you fly, Streak?" Corey asked, levitating in the air.

"No. But I can travel at a decent running speed." the hedgehog replied.

"OK, then, if you can keep up, we'll go and help out Tai Ma with those droids. We just have to keep things clean while Firewall Unit does their part." the Saiyan responded. "In other words, we have to protect the building."

With that, the two took off in Tai Ma's direction.

"Tell me again...why are your eyes different colors?" Makuta asked wasting time till Corey and his allied "Furry", as he's called, arrives.
"I told you once before, i was born with the genetic mutation of Heterochromia Iridium, Hetero meaning different, Chromia or Chroma meaning color, and Iridium meaning the iris." Terra replied continuing to focus on his watch.

The watch started to beep. "Hey look, two friendlies entering our area of radius...." Terra announced showing the watch to Makuta and Alicia.

Corey and Streak stopped by the Firewall Team a few seconds later. Corey began to reach inside his shirt collar, until he found a stash of something. He pulled out a few grenades.

"Here. Be careful about using these grenades though. If you're in the same room as the computer terminal, you won't be able to gain access for a while. These should be able to kill any electronic enemies or stun them for a few seconds until it disperses." Corey said. "I got these from the armory, but we don't have too many in production yet. I could only snag three. Drew and Zach already have theirs. Every team gets one. The guys at the armory called them 'chaff grenades'."

Recieve: Chaff Grenade x1
Disables electronics temporarily. May be effective in putting a permanent stop to electronics under PL: 100. This deals damage to Android-type characters for 1 round, unless their power level is above 1,000.

Senzu Bean x3
Restores Blast Stocks to their default amount, and HP/Stats to full. May cause Saiyans to receive Zenkais.

"Now, we'll go assist Tai Ma." said Corey definitively, and he and Streak went in the direction of Tai Ma's signal.

Makuta pocketed the small bag of Senzu Beans, and tossed the Chaff Grenade to Alicia.

"Use it when you see fit..." Makuta said, thinking of her strategic mind.

"Well then we just leave as soon as those two get to Tai Ma..." Terra pointed out. Makuta did a silent nod, and they all began to think about what was ahead.

"HA!" Tai Ma yelled, letting out a blast of blue ki, which obliterated a group of droids.

Finally...I can sense backup approaching...

More droids came seemingly out of nowhere, moderately surrounding him. A white aura surrounded the Saiyan as he charged.

Terra lifted his arm and the watch started to beep and flash as a wave of light emitted from it. "Alright....." Terra said looking in the direction of Lightning Fire. "I think we should go now--"

Tai Ma continued to fight off the droids, which were encroaching from all angles. Just then, a lightning bolt came down from the sky, followed by a rain of green Ki bolts, frying the remainder of that unit.

Corey and Streak dropped down.

"Tai Ma, the operation is underway, and the guy who names them is a complete guttermind," Streak observed, striking his battle pose.

"Penetrating Enemy Network Infrastructure and Security...what's so bad about that?" Tai Ma asked. "Good to see you've..."

"Because the name of the operation is an acronym for...well..." Corey began.

"Penetrating...Enemy...Network...Infra...Sec...PENIS?" Tai Ma asked. "What's next, an operation called 'Snake Eater'? Anyway, as I was saying, good to see you've arrived on time. Now, let's give them cover..."

"Alright lets go..." Alicia shouted running, Terra following.

Makuta later followed.

They stopped as numerous droids started to walk around a corner. Alicia quickly calculated.

Makuta figured he knew what Alicia planned to do...

"Dont even think about useing that grenade so soon..." Makuta said, "who knows when we will need it..."

Tai Ma had begun to grow tired from the never ending droid attack "This does not look good" he said as he continued to blast one droid after.

A droid was able to sneak up on Tai Ma and grab hold of him from behind "you metallic piece of-" began Tai Ma until more droid began to grab hold and force him down to the ground.

Tai Ma struggled to get loose "Get....off!" yelled Tai Ma as he hands began to glow and later shoots out a blast of energy destroying a few droids.

Corey then jumped in to help him get free "this is getting annoying" said Tai Ma as he caught his breath "well we just have to keep at it till Terra, Makuta and Alicia get their job done.

Team Lightning Fire, meanwhile, got just outside the building, where more were preparing to cut off the Firewall Team's flank.

"We have to stop them from entering the building." Corey stated, as though it wasn't already obvious.

"Alright then," said Tai Ma. "Let's begin..."

Corey charged into the crowd of approaching droids, green energy gathered on his fist. When he got close, he punched the ground, causing the energy to go along the ground in a wave-like pattern, kicking up pieces of gravel...

Streak crouched down, and let out a yell: "RAIKEN!" A lightning bolt took form on his quill, yellow in color. The remaining droids stepped back, obviously afraid.

Streak uses Inexperienced Raiken, inflicting his ATK and SPD at the cost of 2 BS's (4 -> 2)

"Dammit, these sons of bitches just won't fucking quit!!!" Tai Ma leapt into the air as the droids came in droves. He fired a Kamehameha at them, but the droids surrounded him and dogpiled on him, and all of them charged some sort of attack. Tai Ma felt an intense heat surround him. "You pieces of--! GET...!"

Corey and Streak saw their comrade getting getting ganged up on, and they tried to intervene.

"OFF!!!" Tai Ma yelled with a mighty roar. A white aura glowed intensely. "Huff...that took a bit of energy out of me..."

Makuta saw the incoming hordes, and decided to attack one of the Command Hordes rather then normal droid horde.

If they call in back up, things may get more complicated...

Makuta jumped forward, and with a few coordinated strikes, managed to damage the horde.

Makuta attacked Command Horde #1, inflicting 40 damage! (60 -> 20)

Makuta, given his high speed, then jumped back, and fired a Mouth Blast to destroy the droids.
