Redemption Saga Summary Empty Redemption Saga Summary

Post  TheToonKing Sat Sep 22, 2012 9:28 pm

The following is a copy and past of Dr. Angryslacks plans for the Redemption saga, unedited. Pasted here for easy access to all RPers. It may seem unnecessary, but I would like all RPers participating in said saga to read over it one last time and post there agreement to what is said in this saga. Any problems with the plans present should be brought up now, and not later.

-----------------------

The following is an idea of what I intend to open the Saga with:
-----------------------
The initial setting is inside an undisclosed Air Force base; a communications officer in standard apparel is contacting patrols and checking status of various patrols.

“Eagle 1, standing by”

“Eagle 3, detecting an UFO with a light blue trail at 025, requesting further instruction.”

“Eagle 4, detecting what appears to be a firefight near Waypoint Alpha. Local authorities are engaging an unknown enemy, and are losing ground quickly.”

“Eagle 1, assist Oscar 3 in engaging UFO,” The operator instructed, Lima 1 complying in response. “Eagle 3 engage UFO,” No answer, “Eagle 3?”

“HQ this is Eagle 1, Eagle 3 has been shot down by another UFO, a big one at tha-”

“Sir, all contact with our patrols has been lost.” The operator reported to his Air Marshall, who sternly went to personally report this at the Pentagon. There, various high level military officials and the Commander in Chief himself waited.
-----------------------
“Marshall, this has been the third time in the past few days that we lost contact with patrol craft when encountering UFOs. This is starting to present a threat to national security; we need answers to this problem.” The President opened, there was no sign of political or intellectual stupidity in his face, only that of dead seriousness.

“The governments of various European Union nations have been reporting increased sightings of UFOs in their former Colonies as well as Europe. Additional activity has been detected in China, Japan, Russia and many other regions across the globe. So far, there have been no confirmed hostilities except for here but the prognosis looks grim. Sir, we may be on the verge of global invasion.” The Secretary of Defense exchanged a similar look of grave nature.

“Utonium must have been in on it, we know he was affiliated with extraterrestrial forces during the School Wars. It seems that if he were to be defeated, his ET buddies could invade. Hell, Utonium may have been the only thing holding back something even worse. “President Bush announced, expressing more concern for his nation and its people than any amount of petrol. “Dispatch Mr. Noodle, have him contact the Earth Special Forces immediately, we don’t have much time.”
-------------------------

Okay, so the heroes have just finished resting and doing whatever when they are contacted by a government agent, this agent also brings with him Bolt, a mechanical dog-like robot that the government believes could be useful. The agent informs them of UFO sightings and odd activity in a remote rural town east of Aaron City. Certain characters stay home for whatever reason they have, while the rest go to investigate. They stumble upon a deserted town in ruins. They group check the town, picking up no ki signatures and trying to figure out what happened in some way to build suspense. Then they are ambushed by the fodder armies, the heroes are reluctant at the clearly sapient warriors before them, and question whether it is “right” to kill them. The fodder take this to their advantage, such as feigning that the were forced to kill the inhabitants of the town claiming along the lines of “their master made them do it”. The individual fodder units might contradict themselves, giving enough evidence to the heroes to suggest they are lying. Reluctantly, the group uses lethal force on the fodder.

Meanwhile, stuff happens with the heroes that stay home whether they just train or await further orders from the government.

After the people on the mission return for couple of hours, the government contacts them on their discovery: Two extraterrestrial bases have been discovered with insidious purposes. An outpost in Antarctica, that’s incentive, seems to be melting the polar cap causing widespread flooding all over the globe. Moreover, another at Yellowstone Park, however details are scarce about it. So once again everyone-including the Twins-are split into two groups and head off.

Group 1 will consist of the Eds, Kale, Alicia, Streak, Rolf, and Tai Ma

Group 2 will have the Cousins, Makuta, Jasper, Terra, Zymon, the Twins and Kaia.

Group 1 goes down South to the Land of Penguins while Group 2 travels North, or East, or West, or also South… On their way to the South Pole, Edd picks up an energy signature heading towards the South Pole as well. He and Eddy cautiously investigate to discover another warrior. The warrior, who identifies himself as Shinichi, exchanges dialogue with the two Eds. They both say that they are headed to the South Pole because there is an odd phenomenon there; realizing they have a common objective Shinichi is assimilated into the group. However, the alliance is temporary, as Shinichi must contend with problems in Japan, his homeland (?) once the mystery is dealt with.

Group 1 reaches the South Pole to discover a large tower guarded by the first of seven Generals, Lambda-this one’s appearance resembles Burter-of Venfro’s army, a small amount of fodder, and a couple “Lieutenants” which are fairly close to the General in power to prevent an utter gang rape.

Battle begins, midway through and once sufficiently weakened one of the Lieutenants retreats to the tower, trying to activate it. Tower begins to activate and open up, releases a neutron pulse thing to purge all organic life in it, and then simply topples over. General insults the Lieutenant post-mortem for ruining the trap, revealing that the Antarctic operation was a decoy, then is defeated afterward.

Meanwhile in Yellowstone, Group 2 finds a spaceship resting over the caldera, Unsure of what it is capable of, they try to attack it head on, only to be intercepted by a handful of Lieus and General Omicron, no fodder this time. In addition to the bad guys, the group discovers a Furry already engaging one of the Lieus. Said Furry identifies himself as Charger, and decides that, much to Drew’s chagrin, they would have strength in numbers. This General is one of the stronger ones, but also has a very short temper, and so would require somewhat of a gang rape to weaken him down. Using the latter detail, the group manages to outsmart him and make Omicron damage his own ship. By then the heroes should be relatively tired, while the General is only rejuvenated through sheer anger. However, Venfro messages through an earpiece and orders Omicron to retreat due to Group 1 realizing they have been duped and are rushing to Yellowstone. The General refuses, but is coerced into retreating when Venfro reiterates.

After that, Terra and Edd search through the wreckage of the Yellowstone ship, trying to find data useful for determining the origins of the aliens, using Bolt’s processors to break a code they find. However, they are unsuccessful in learning anything and decide to return home and await further instruction. On the way back, Makuta ponders and whether it means what he thinks it does: That Venfro has returned and brought an army with him. A faint, but noticeable sense of guilt ebbs inside him for not making sure the Changeling was dead all those years ago.

When everybody returns home, they find bodies, bodies of an ambush team awaiting the groups return. They quickly realize that the number of troops were far too small to actually fight the heroes even in their weakened state. When they open the door, however, the heroes learn that the soldiers were not waiting to attack; they were attacking who was waiting…

Project Odysseus, the fugitive Android from the battle with Utonium, was sitting in a chair waiting for their return. Because of the epic battle Jasper and Otis had, the former begins to attack, Otis evades the assault-with slight difficulty-and tries to explain. He tells them that despite the heroes numbers, this new threat is beyond of what either of them could fight alone, however if they made an alliance, they could have a realistic chance. The heroes are skeptical of this, for all they know, Otis could betray them at any moment into the “alliance,” but after some more discussion, and some more attempts to attack Otis,-some successful-a truce is forged.

Just as the alliance is made, or the morning after, Rolf receives a calling… from his shed. This is not particularly important to the saga as a whole but it will be for Rolf.

The next day, as the organic heroes slumber, Jasper and Otis have an early morning spar, which concludes with an urgent message from their agent: The leaders from the top sixteen nations in the world are meeting in Washington D.C. and they must defend them whatever the cost.

The heroes do some banter; they reach the rendezvous point, and await instructions. The sixteen representatives arrive, Japan-or more accurately, its bodyguard-sparks interest to the group. Shinichi, the Saiyan (?) warrior from before encounters the heroes again, he introduces himself to the members that did not meet him before, and realizes that because they have bumped into one another again, he must be destined to join them. Therefore, Shinichi formally joins the group.

The diplomats talk and stuff in some dark corner of White House, nothing particularly interesting about it. They are interrupted by Secret Service people that a huge ass fleet of alien battleships are heading for D.C.,

The world leaders are split into eight groups of two each; the heroes each escort a diplomat.

Once everyone is in their teams, the first batch of fodder emerges from the battleships. Which contrary to what one might think, the Secret Service and assorted elite units of the Army are dealing with quite well. Approximately one shipload of additional fodder shows up in another ship, before the whole thing being destroyed by Otis. Makuta has become somewhat more distracted by his speculative thoughts, and his worry grows throughout the battle

Once that is out of the way, a bunch of new “Captains” (essentially Lieus with special powers) engage the group, and leading them in is a Pirate Ringleader. Battle commences with each of the Captains ability having some kind of effect on his opponents.

Down but not out, the Ringleader and whoever is left of his fodder slaver cronies say “Forget this, this isn’t worth fighting for” and return to their ship. Then, because it is necessary, just as the ship begins to take off. The Washington Monument is levitated off the ground and thrown like an enormous javelin at the vessel, puncturing it and creating an enormous explosion. When one of the trainees points to someone at the top of the Capitol Building and asks who is that. The veterans from the School Wars, and especially Makuta and to an extent Tai Ma, express terror.

While the ship crashes into the ground, raining fire and metal stuff all over the place, Venfro stands atop the damaged and burning Capitol Building doing “that one pose” Frieza does (Venfro is in first form btw). The Changeling personally taunts Makuta telepathically, but tells him that he will not fight them… yet. Emerging from the rubble is a fresh Captain, who charges at Venfro using his power in an attempt to weaken him. This is just a “demonstration” to prove Venfro is stronger and the fact that I personally want him to actually kill someone…Venfro then attacks Makuta in a blur of speed almost incomprehensible to all but the Namek, tears out his innards and throws him into the Potomac River. The Changeling threatens anyone who tries to recover the Namek, and then leaves after a few minutes of waiting knowing the other heroes cannot harm him. With all of the minions either routed or dead, the diplomats conclude the meeting. With their objective achieved, and because they lack any real reason to stay, they head home knowing the Changeling is long gone.

Then, later that night, the heroes are still at the closest thing to grief since Makuta’s butchering. Some are taking it harder than others, especially due to Kevin’s death just a few days ago. Mr. Noodle comes in to interrupt, telling the heroes that Area 51 is on the verge of being overrun by one of Venfro’s generals, at night. Rested, and ready, the heroes step once more into the breach and off to Area 51, at night. As the heroes reach their objective, a bunch of Lieus and a couple Captains along with a General have overran the facility, not a single fodder unit is in sight because almost all of the remaining ones were pretty much killed earlier that day. Before the fight begins, the General, (who is intended to be made as much of an egotistical douchebag as believably possible without breaking the seriousness) uses their power. A sandstorm quickly covers the area making visibility lousy, and the General’s power blocks ki sensing to the extent that while everyone can tell who is who, they cannot tell their proximity to each other. (the sand refracts ki so that the target could be ten feet away, or a hundred feet away without any noticeable difference)

Other than using the tried-and-true method of “relying on the other senses,” there will be a way of preventing Kale from becoming deadweight. So fight begins, the heroes are having a difficult time fighting their opponent and to an extent, vice versa. Meanwhile Tai Ma enters the base to search for what the army came for. After beating a Lieu (not intended to be stat-based unless necessary) he discovers something important, information about Venfro’s personal starship.

The fight on the surface continues with pretty much everyone trying to figure out where everyone is, but when somebody does manage to hit the D-Bag General. While the sandstorm does not clear up, the ki refraction is gone, giving enough time to hit and kill the bastard before he can reestablish it. (he is the “weird one with the freaky power” of the Generals, he is also weak, essentially a Guldo)

Rest of the Lieus and Captains enter a state of panic and end up butchering each other in a panic. By then everyone else should be fairly tired. Tai Ma heads out to meet the group and tells them about Venfro’s spaceship. Maybe a little banter stuff about classification or something, maybe not.

After returning home, and getting as much rest as they can, Terra, Edd, Otis and Jasper, with great assistance from Bolt continue to crack the code. Once the code is cracked, which allows them to know where exactly the starship is, they proceed to head off. As the ship appears on the horizon, several characters sense only a small number of energy signatures, suspecting some form of trap and warn the others to stay alert.

Only a couple Lieus are left after everything, and knowing they cannot fight the numerically superior heroes, tries to flee. That is when they are cut down by not one, but two Generals. One inclined towards ki control and who resembles the generic Frieza Soldier, the other towards a balance of strength and speed (Jeice). The heroes split up and engage the Generals, trying not to destroy the ship. Obviously, Venfro was not aboard the ship or they would have sensed him, but the group wants to salvage the ship in the hopes that there would be logs of his whereabouts.

Both Generals, (whose names will be named Mu and Nu respectively) do some kind of combination attack, which with a hint of hax significantly damages all the good guys. Somewhat shocked by such an attack, the group, who by now is at Kaioken x10 or the similar power up, increase the notch up to x16 (they do not go higher due to the strain and their weakened state)

The power-up proves to be effective as the group is able to do some serious damage to the two Generals. When they are reduced to less than 25% HP, (they will have damage reduction hax to lengthen the battle) the two are also summoned by Venfro via telepathic link to return to HQ, one of the Generals will ask about the spaceship, to which the Changeling orders to just damage it enough to prevent them from using it, otherwise “…let them come”

With that, one of the generals destroys a large section of the ship, leaving the bridge mostly intact, and then proceeds to ascend into the air as fast as they can into outer space. No one tries to pursue because they are too fast, and they need to salvage the ship while they can. The smart people of the group, Bolt and the Androids sift through whatever data is left, making a discovery that is, so to say “Out of this world.”

Venfro’s HQ is on Mars.

Returning home, everyone discusses the plan of action, they need to get to Mars somehow, but how will they get there? Venfro’s ships have been destroyed or damaged beyond usefulness. Edd has a spark of innovation, realizing that he could build a spaceship out of the Retro Van and the scrap metal in the junkyard. Kale could bring up something about Makuta’s spaceship, which he could know about from a flashback between the two? However, there is one more obstacle, they all saw how Makuta was so easily beaten, the Vets also expressing concern that he didn’t transform to do it as well. The Generals they just fought cannot be allowed to do so much harm in one strike again. With that, they intend to allow up to four days to train as much as possible. (a short intermission for training posts maybe a couple mental battles while on the way there to lengthen the trip)

The heroes have finally touched down on Mars, and for a plot device are capable of breathing the atmosphere. They all know where the main base is, but landed several thousand miles away, so they would not get shot down or something. Whereas most of the group advances forward at once, Tai Ma volunteers for some reconnaissance work. The Saiyan reaches the base first, scouting out everything; he gazes upon an utter bloodbath. Hundreds of fodder, Lieus and Captains have been brutally murdered and thrown into a giant pile. Tai Ma can only speculate that they rebelled and Venfro easily slaughtered them all. Tai Ma manages to sneak into the base itself, with great risk to himself. Knowing that if he is found out, he will die, simple as that.

Unfortunately, Tai Ma mistakenly enters the inner sanctum, where a certain Changeling awaits him. A feeling of terror overwhelms the Saiyan as Venfro easily subdues him, and holds his face up to look at a machine. Venfro does not tell what exactly it does, but claims it will allow him to conquer Earth, and taunts that the heroes should have launched their attack sooner, because the machine was nearly complete. To finish off his tirade, he tells Tai Ma that he has the honor of being the first victim. The machine activates, and a brutal, indescribable force invades Tai Ma’s mind, trying to force him to do Venfro’s bidding. Using every last ounce of willpower in his being, the Saiyan desperately tries to resist, to which the Changeling scoffs that he will be brainwashed soon enough.

At least until someone steps forward to finish the fight…

Meanwhile, the rest of the heroes can sense the force Tai Ma is experiencing, but is only strong enough to be noticed and nothing more. Nearing the entrance, the three Generals that fled, along with a fourth one walk out. They were clearly the last line of defense before reaching the Changeling himself, and with that, epic battle commences.

The Cousins, Terra and Alicia fight Kappa. (the new one, [Ginyu])

The Eds, Kale and Kaia fight Mu.

The Twins, Charger and Zymon fight Nu.

Jasper, Otis, Rolf and Streak fight Omicron.

(I’m not grouping by specialty or anything, this was mostly random)

Back at the funny farm, Venfro greets his guest, who reveals to be none other than a heavily bandaged Makuta. Taking off the bandages, he reveals a nasty scar over his chest and clearly bulked up. With that, the Namek is ready to end the battle, which had gone unfinished for five years.

Makuta had concentrated on increasing his strength over his speed, and because they are in the inner sanctum, Venfro wouldn’t be able to use his known techniques, (Fissure Slice and Death Saucer) both start out fighting at base, but quickly raise the stakes knowing both are holding back, (Makuta goes Kaioken x10, where Venfro goes “100% first form”) The fighting gets more aggressive, and Venfro more careless. Makuta tries to use this to outsmart him and trick him into a firing a ki blast into his machine. Venfro expresses shock for what he had just done, but he quickly smirks and boasts that the machine simply cannot be blown up conventionally. Losing one of his advantages, Makuta rethinks his tactics, knowing that the Changeling can transform, he does some epic speech TK wrote up, and powers to Kaioken x20. (meanwhile Tai Ma will be… somewhere out of harms way, but would still be struggling.)

Venfro takes this time to transform, and once again, the two are on equal footing. Makuta’s speed advantage is no longer viable, and so he relies on his strength. Venfro is the opposite, losing the raw strength of his first form but regaining his speed. (the 100% would have a speed penalty) More fighting, cuts and bruises should start to be thrown out here to emphasize the brutality.

In a “dramatic” little scene, the other heroes have finished off the Generals and have reached the inner sanctum, somewhat surprised that Makuta is still alive. When they enter, Venfro would have the Namek by the throat, look him straight in the eye and tell him that he was holding back. Makuta goes wide-eyed as Venfro proceeds to transform once again and throws Makuta into a wall. The Changeling’s power increasing to accommodate his new opponents.

The battle commences, where the group-with Makuta included-to bring down Venfro finally. There shall be no “summon the earth’s energy or that Heritage Saga nonsense” They are on their own here. While the heroes are indeed wearing Venfro down, they are degrading even faster. Having supposedly learned it from King Kai, Rolf in desperation begins making a Spirit Bomb. (in the event that Rolf and the Spirit Bomb can’t work out, we may substitute someone else--minus Makuta and Tai Ma--using some other Ultimate attack the heroes pool all their energy into, but because of laziness, I’ll keep the mentioning about Rolf and the Spirit Bomb in, just for “convenience“) As should be expected the others need to buy him some time, Makuta especially uses this opportunity to absolutely bombard the Changeling with whatever attack TK may have in store. Although this isn’t “beat the shit out of Venfro with impunity while Rolf uses Spirit Bomb time” The Changeling should have been doing some serious harm, (such as catching Streak and trying to bite one of his arms off in an attempt to eat the Furry again)

Despite the heroes’ best attempts, Venfro still manages to beat them all down. Still needing more time to draw energy from the planet, Rolf is defenseless, out of the blue, a still struggling Tai Ma fires a Fire Kamehameha at the Changeling before the former passes out from sheer mental exhaustion. Venfro however, blocks the attack and while clearly hurt from the blast, is still standing. However, Rolf completes the Spirit Bob and launches it, having long since recognizing it as the attack used on Frieza so long ago, Venfro counters with a Supernova. Both spheres collide, the sheer power creates a crater dozens of miles in diameter on the Red Planet, the machine is still intact however.

Unfortunately, the Spirit Bomb begins to fade, and is slowly being engulfed by the Supernova. Knowing Rolf can’t continue to maintain it, and let’s the Supernova launch harmlessly into space. By now, everyone, including Venfro is almost devoid of energy, and are simply too tired to do anything to each other. And yet, Makuta stands tall, stumbling and trying to stay conscious, throws one final strike. Already weakened to being equal or lesser to paper mache/Raditz, Venfro makes his final few breaths, but not before he activates the machine for it’s intended purpose: To brainwash the population of earth and give him their power, he doesn’t do this earlier due to its incomplete state, which may have only result in his brain being overwhelmed and reduced to a frothy soup-like state. Out of options, Venfro is unable to control the machine, not because of the fermented brain soup problem, but because he slumps dead before he had the chance to use. Makuta can no longer sense Venfro’s energy, and finishes the body off somehow just to be sure. Without someone operating it, the machine harmlessly explodes, ensuring no one can use it.

The heroes have done it, they have defeated Venfro once and for all, his goons are all dead, and the earth has been saved from a ghost of the past once again. The heroes briefly celebrate, but realize one thing, their spaceship is thousands of miles away and they are tired from the fight. And so as the Saga closes, the heroes slowly trudge back to their spaceship, occasionally taking a rest to gather their strength.
--------------------------------
The rough draft of the Redemption Saga is complete, now all we have to do is tweak things to get everyone on board.

--------------------------------
Their are a fiew things that are not happening.
1. Shinichi is not present.
2. Rolf WILL NOT USE THE SPIRIT BOMB. He will likely use his ultimate, after the other donate their energy to him or something.
3.Makutas not finishing off the body...
