Episode #2: Fire in Peril, Lightning and Ice

As Venfro and Lightning Fire squared off, Drew and Zach finally reached their destination.

"Alright. We need to destroy this place as quickly as possible. The fastest way to do that is to find the core of this underground base." Drew summarized. "Blast that to pieces, and this place undergoes meltdown..."

"We don't have time for this. Who knows how much time we have before Command Unit destroys our way out..." Makuta said, bareing his teeth in anger. He went into a fighting stance.

"We will just have to blow past it as fast as quickly as possible..." Makuta said, red and black aura flareing fiercly around him.

In cyberspace, the green orbs that had appeared before Firewall Unit began to come together, beginning to form something. The feet were the first to take full color beyond the wireframe that appeared. As the color "went up" the body, the entity coming in became clear.

It was a large robot, with what appeared to be a laser cannon on each wrist. And it also appeared to possess a rather... phallic weapon...

In a secret location far from the city an evil inventor plotted his next move while watching over his enemy's "it seems they all have their hands full at the moment" said the shadowy figure "I guess its time I followed the information an old friend gave to me"

Makuta’s stance did not waver, and just as he was about to charge, Terra made an announcement.

"Alicia, Makuta. The location of the terminal out of here just changed..." the brown haired Saiyan said.

"That’s right..." a voice rang out from the large Mech. A hatch on its chest opened. revealeing a man sitting in a cockpit of sorts. He had short brown hair, and he couldn’t be older then possibly his early 30s. "Im am Professor Cybern, and the terminal your desperately seeking...is on the platform behind us."

He spoke the truth, as when the heroes looked past him, a pillar of light rose up from about twenty yards away.

"So it’s a definite..." Alicia began.

"To escape this place..." Makuta continued.

"And complete our mission..." Terra said, as he and Alicia got into their unique fighting stances.

"We must defeat you!" the trio yelled, as their entire group’s aura's flared intensely.

"Go ahead and try it..." Cybern said, as his Mech's hatch closed, and got into a fighting stance of sorts.

The platform with the terminal broke off and floated up, leaving the hero’s and Cybern a large circular battle field.

A purple light emitted, surrounding the field. "A force field...." Terra noted, looking from the rising perimeters of light to Alicia. "Got any battle plans?" Terra asked looking back at Cybern's machine. "There's no 'Earth' or 'Water' in the air, but there is Oxygen and Carbon molecules around...Makuta, fire could be our best bet." Alicia spoke. "Terra, what can you say about that mech?" She questioned.

"It's an advanced piece of technology. But i can tell, the weak points are the chest, as it's where Cybern is located. If i got a good look at the cockpit, i saw wires going towards the head of the mech, that could be a potent spot of weakness. And lastly, do you see those small red spots? they are cameras that reveal what's behind, and what's in front." Terra replied in a low whisper so only Makuta and Alicia could hear.

Round 1 Start!

Makuta took use of his speed, and jumped up throwing a kick. Cybern caught it and threw Makuta towards the ground without taking and damage. Makuta caught himself with his hands and flipped onto his feet.

He’s fast…

Opening his mouth wide, Makuta fired a yellow blast at Cybern, who blocked it with at the cost of some damage to the mech’s left arm.

Makuta uses Mouth Blast at 2 BS's (5 -> 4), inflicting 26 damage! (168 -> 142)

“Insignificant fool…” Cybern’s voice rang out, slightly altered from the Mech. Putting his hands into hoists and pointing them at Makuta, the Mech let out a barrage of energy bullets. Makuta put his arms up to defend to little avail.

“Damn it!” Makuta yelled as his body jerked wildly as each bullet made contact.

Cybern Mech uses Rapid Fire Cannon at 0 BS’s, inflicting 53 damage! (111 -> 58)

Alicia/Terra's Turn!

Round 1 Start!

Corey charged Venfro, despite Streak's pleas for him not to, and narrowly dodged a punch from the alien. However, when he tried to kick Venfro, the Changeling blocked. The two traded punches and kicks, until Venfro landed a hard left punch into the young Saiyan's stomach, causing Corey to cough a little blood. The Changeling then smacked Corey to the ground with his tail. The kid stumbled to his feet, having collapsed to one knee.

"Foolish boy...but what do you expect from a Saiyan?" Venfro asked, a rhetorical question. However, the Changeling did not expect the kid to launch a surprise attack with his foot. Even that, did little to phase the Changeling.

Corey attacked Venfro, inflicting 18 damage! (150 -> 132)

Tai Ma was the next to charge, as Venfro had caught Corey by the throat with his tail and began to constrict. He dropped the stunned Saiyan to the ground in time to guard Tai Ma's opening move. Venfro then kicked Tai Ma back.

"What power...! He's definitely 150..." said Tai Ma, reeling from the force of the attack. "I might have to use that technique...after so long...it may be time to throw the kid gloves off!"

With that, Tai Ma charged a quick Kamehameha and fired. Venfro defended the blast with one hand.

Tai Ma used a Kamehameha at 2 BS's, inflicting 26 damage! (132 -> 106)

"Raiken!" yelled Streak, causing the yellow bolt to appear in his quills once more.

Venfro's turn!

"Makuta!" Terra shouted. He jumped up and kicked the mech in several spots on the chest.

"Damn..this mech is made of a more strong material then i thought" Terra shouted

"Terra, i have a plan..." Alicia said raising her hands and placing them on her forehead. "MASENKO!!!!" she shouted and then fired as she yelled out the "HAAAA!!!" portion of the attack. Using up the remaining 3 of her BS.

"NGH!!" Cybern grunted taking the force of the attack

Alicia attacks with Masenko-Ha (3 BS, 3 -> 0) inflicting 43 damage (124 -> 81)

"Hmm, your combined effort actually hurt me my hand somewhat. However, you will have to do better than that." Venfro mocked, he then zoomed towards Tai Ma. Pulling the Saiyan from under his feet with his tail, the Saiyan fell face down to the ground. "I want a souvenier from this mostly harmless planet, I could use a new backscratcher" Venfro enwrapped his tail around Tai Ma's right forearm, preparing to stomp on the arm to break it off.

Venfro attacks Tai Ma, inflicting 94 damage. (108-> 14)

Zach and Drew eventually reached the core room, guarded by two command units of droids, and larger, silver models. It appeared that there was no other way but to take out all the enemies, so the shield around the core could be disabled without interference...

Zach shot a distracting ki blast into the room. Bouncing it off the shield, it hit at an angle that allowed Drew and Zach to slip right in the room and commence blindsiding everyone...

Zach decided to ignore the silvery new models for now, concentrating on the command units. He shot a few more blasts down on the golden, leaner droids, reducing them to scrap.

Zach attacks Command Unit 1, inflicting 64 damage! (60 -> 0)

As the enemy turned to see Zach, they failed to notice Drew becoming a blur, heading straight for the other command unit. Before they realized Drew was within their numbers, ripping them apart with simple punches and kicks, it was too late...

Drew attacks Command Unit 2, inflicting 56 damage! (60 -> 4)

He then shot a few blasts to thin out the golden droids. By the time he was done, however, only the silver-plated Androids remained.

Drew attacks again, inflicting 56 damage! (4 -> 0)

The Super Battle Droid Unit shot their Wrist Missiles. Drew and Zach went into evasion mode, but one of them managed to catch Drew and sent him flying back.

"Ugh! These missiles aren't usually this strong!" he noted, getting back to his feet.

Round 2 vs. Venfro Begin

"No joke..." Corey grumbled. "But we have to get him off now...!" Anger once again taking over, Corey's aura flared. He decided to charge at Venfro directly, during which the Changeling put pressure on Tai Ma's arm. The crack of bone filled Corey's ears, further intensifying his rage. Venfro was about to finish the crude amputation when he sensed Corey's level.

"Wha--?" Venfro began. "You Saiyan monkey!" He raised his fingers at Corey.

"Let him go!!!" Corey yelled, his eyes going blank for a very brief instant.

"...Were the history books accurate???" said Venfro, leaping off the injured Tai Ma. Corey came in, swinging wildly. Somehow, by sheer luck, he punched Venfro across the face, kicked him into the air, and followed it up with a "full power" Kamehameha. Venfro once again defended, and still came out hurt.

Corey attacks Venfro with all 5 BS's into a Kamehameha, inflicting 22 damage! (106 -> 84)

Streak leapt into action at this point. He darted past Corey, a mass of yellow light. He then jumped up into the air, once again turning into a yellow light. He managed to kick the Changeling into the ground, while he was seething over the sudden interruption...

Streak attacks Venfro with a kick, inflicting 22 damage! (84 -> 62)

Tai Ma got up with one arm limp from the pain and on the other hand he had a black aura around it.

"you still have some fight left in you, you dirty monkey?" said Venfro in a mocking voice.

Tai Ma's aura flared in rage from his race being insulted yet again "Ill show you the power of a saiyan!" Tai Ma said

Venfro charged at Tai Ma ready to end him "your going to die here and now!" he yelled ready to strike him down.

Tai Ma pulled his fist back "no....it is you who will die" said Tai Ma as he forced his fist forward "Genso Hoshutsu!" he yelled as an energy blast came out of his fist.


Venfro was hit by Tai Ma's Genso Hoshutsu dealing 35 points of damage (62->27)

Round 2 Start!

"Worthless!" Cybern yelled, punching Terra and Alicia away. He blasted Makuta point blank as the Namekian went in for a punch.

"You Saiyan’s never learn. And you...Namekian. I don't even know what your doing on Earth..." Cybern mocked. Makuta heard the last part echo in his mind. His eye grew wide.

Makuta stood up, aura flaring around him.

"What did I come here for? I came to train..to train with the legendary Goku! To train in order to become Namek’s protector! But now, Earth is my home as well. And your in my way. You’re blocking the path that is my destiny! And I won't let you..." Makuta said, jumping into the air after getting a run start toward Cybern. Time seemed to slow down, as Makuta swung his arm back, stretching it to a considerable distance. A dozen yards back.

"Do it any...." Makuta said, throwing the punch. Makuta’s fist shot forward, and with the extra distance increased its power considerably. "More!" Makuta yelled, striking the Mech's hatch. His fist went through it, and cracks formed. It didn’t make it threw the other side, or into Cybern's

Makuta uses Gomu Gomu Pistol at 5 BS's (5 -> 0), inflicting 26 damage! (81 -> 49)

Cybern's Mech stumbled back.

"You actually did this much damage, even if my body was damaged from previous assaults..." Cybern said. He raised both arms upward.

"But no matter. I will still defeat you. Your so called destiny, is about to crumble to bits....Dick Missile!" Cybern yelled, firing the missile out of his pelvis. Makuta, still in mid air tried to block, but the missile exploded on contact, and light everything up. Makuta darted out of the flames, and landed on the platform creating a large crater.

Cybern Mech uses Dick Missile at 4 BS’s (6->2), inflicting 120 damage! (58 -> 0)

Terra and Alicia crowded around him shouting words of encouragement at their bloody and beaten friend. Makuta just smiled and said three words.

"Finish the job..."

"You missed interpreted one thing..." Terra said as he moved his above his forehead. Terra smirked thrusting his hands forward, shooting out a charged beam of dark green energy. The energy hit the chest of the Cybern's Mech. The beam broke through the multiple layers of metal and finally breached the chest hatch.

"WHAT!?" Cybern managed as the beam entered the mech.

"Damn you...Saiyans..." Cybern said, as he watched Alicia sped up to him and punched through the mech from the cockpit, pulling out circuits as she started to retreat.

Barley breathing, Cybern made his mech move. "I....I'm not out yet." He said.


"Well let's fix that..." Alicia said. She starting running up to the mech once again. Terra had Makuta over his shoulders and was running for the Circuit that would take them out of the computer.

Alicia jumped up and put her hand towards her mouth, and then thrust it forward, throwing an object at Cybern. He caught it and looked at it puzzled. "What the hell?!?" He said


Alicia landed next to Terra, "Is that a cotter pin in your mouth?" He asked "Oh, you didn't?!" He finished looking at Cybern, as Alicia nodded, "we need to get out now then!"

Zach leaned forward to prepare for a second attack, but then his scouter reacted, along with Drew's.

"Power level...150...?" Zach asked. "Ugh, Drew, finish things here. I'll go assist Lightning Fire with that!"

"Hey, who's the commander here?!" Drew questioned, but Zach had already left...

Zach gains 17 PL from the defeat of the fodder unit.

Drew meanwhile, resumed the battle, showering the silver droids with Ki blasts in an act of revenge for that previous injury. By the time he had let up, all of the androids were reduced to scrap except one. Avoiding the blaster fire from the droid, Drew manuevered behind it, and shoved his hand straight through it, "salvaging" the technology.

Drew attacks the Super Battle Droid horde, inflicting 84 damage! (70 -> 0)

Drew gains 17 PL from the other command unit and 19 PL from the new unit.
He also salvages the S.B.D. for testing by the scientists.

The platform holding the terminal fell level with the platform the battle had taken place on. Terra and Makuta went through, and Alicia went flying towards it.

"No!" Cybern yelled, willing his damaged Mech forward. Suddenly the Chaff grenade went off in Cybern's hand.

A white light instantly engulfed the Mech and Professor and absorbed the surroundings as well. Alicia barely had time to jump into the circuit and escape.

OOC: As there is a battle going on, Corey, Streak, and Tai Ma do not gain their PL gains.

From Dr. Cybern:

As Drew raised his hand to level the core, suddenly, one of the nearby terminals began to flash. Within moments, an injured Makuta, and a healthy-looking Terra and Alicia exited the terminal.

"What the hell? When did this happen?" asked Drew, still keeping his blast prepped. "Good thing you got out when you did...because the terminals in here also control the shields for this core. Blow up the core, this entire place comes down..."

"Alright, well give us a quick head start..." Terra said, as him and Alicia hurried out before they could explain. They walked out just as the core exploding was heard. After another minute, Drew ran out yelling "Get Down!" just as the explosion of the factory knocked them all over.

"We made it..Its over- oh no...You've got to be kidding...” Terra said, then made a annoyed face.

"150..." Drew answered simply before flying off.

"Quick give Makuta a Senzu!" Alicia commanded Terra. He did so, and Makuta's body bulged for a moment. He slowly opened his eyes. "Wakey wakey..." Terra joked.

"Did you beat Cybern..."

"Were in the real world, so I’m gonna say yes." Terra replied.

"...I couldn’t do it... I wasn’t strong enough..." Makuta replied, standing up.

Venfro staggered greatly at first, gasping from Tai Ma's attack, before chuckling audibly. "Admittedly that bruised me, however I have been holding back this entire time." The three were unnerved by the statement. "I have one transformation to make, which will certainly ensure your extinction, and my dinner." Venfro squated into a ki charging pose, shortly afterward most parts of his body's shell peeled off exposing his cyan underskin. His glass shoulder blades and chestplate were obscurred by his remaining natrual armor, while the sphere on his head turned orange.

"H-his power level j-just jumped to 250!" Corey stammered,

"Everyone, eat a Senzu now!" Tai Ma shouted, swallowing a bean, Corey and Streak doing likewise. The rejuvinated trio prepared for the worst.

"Most warriors wear armor to protect themselves from their foes," Venfro stood up smirking at the three, "I wear it for the exact opposite reason."

Zach arrived on the scene at this point.

"Wha--? A Changeling, here?" he asked. "...What could his motives be...? The eradication of Saiyans...or something more...?"

"Zach! You're here..." Corey said, turning to his cousin. "He's here to kill all the Saiyans...that's all he desires. He told us twice..."

"...So that's how it is, huh?" he asked, getting into a fighting pose.

"Don't be so serious ..." Alicia said. Makuta remained silent.

"Yeah..and heck, if your not gonna believe in yourself..." Terra began, putting a hand on Makuta's shoulder.

"Believe in us..." Alicia continued for him, steping forward and puting her hands on her hips.

"Believeing in you!" they both announced. "Now come on...lets go..." Alicia said, flying off. Terra walked forward, looking back to
Makuta, and flew after Alicia. Makuta finnaly looked up, a smile on his face.

"I always seem to forget..." he began, takeing off full speed. "Im not alone..."

Drew flew ahead of Firewall Unit, reading out the scouter's new display.

"250...?! What kind of nightmarish freak are they going up against?!"

"Even more monkies inbound? If I don't keep myself under control, I might massacre them too quickly." Venfro sensed the inbound Saiyans and their allies quickly approach. The Changeling turned to see Zach has finally arrived. "Perhaps I should test the newcomers, and I think I know just how." Venfro raised his right arm, and his entire body began to radiate a cyan aura. The hundreds if not thousands of wreckage fragments of the building along with other debris began to ascend high into the sky above the Changeling. All appeared to be electrified by the energy eminating from the Changeling.

"I can tell he has left himself open to be able to do this, yet he could easily incapacitate me if I got too close. But if all four of us rushed him, we might be able to do some damage. However, if we wait until Drew and Firewall Team arrive, we would have far better odds, yet we would probably lose our oppening by then." Zach pondered the best tactics to engage the supercharged alien. Before Zach could reach a conclusion however, Venfro had slammed his arm down launching a shower of debris upon the four, with a smaller bombardment heading towards Drew and Firewall Team's direction.

"Evasive manuevers NOW!" Streak barked, frantically avoiding the shrapnel from the sky, Corey and Tai Ma doing the same. Zach however was hit by a slab of rebar that collided with the Saiyan.

Venfro attacks Zach indirectly with Telekiniesis, inflicting 196 damage! (131-> 0)
