Streak and Ed Training: Post Episode #12

Up on the training site, two humanoids were fighting. One of them was wearing a green jacket, a red-and-white striped T-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and black shoes. His name was Ed, and he was a Saiyan. The other was an anthropomorphic hedgehog, orange with long quills, spikes curving in differing directions. He wore white pants and green shoes. This hedgehog was the lightning elementalist, Streak the Hedgehog.

The reason why they were training together was simple: Streak had seen the potential for lightning control in Ed, and was sparring with him to see if he could help spark the elemental burst.

"Come on Ed," Streak said, his greater speed allowing him to evade some of the larger fighter's heavier, more powerful attacks, "I know you have more power than this!"

Ed gave an unintelligent roar as he continued for a second assault, the two fighters soon landing on the ground.

The orange anthromorph evaded the attacks, moving quick enough to leave afterimages. However, one of Ed's punches soon nicked his cheek, and, channeling some lightning energy into his fist, punched Ed in the gut, and kicked him back while he was stunned from the attack.

Streak attacks Ed, inflicting 535 SP damage (2,930 -> 2,395) and 128 HP damage! (1,928 -> 1,800)

The tall Saiyan soon recovered from the attack, going into a series of breakfall flips, and soon rocketed at the hedgehog, who immediately took a defensive position. However, Ed took the opportunity to quickly circle around to just above the hedgehog, and landed a punch that broke the hedgehog's guard. This was followed by three strong hits, sending Streak prone on the ground from the strength behind the attacks.

Ed attacks Streak, inflicting 1,034 SP damage (2,800 -> 1,766) and 258 HP damage! (1,899 -> 1,641)

Streak coughed from the force behind the attack, and remarked: "Corey and Drew taught you well, Ed..." His body crackled with yellow lightning as he channeled his next attack. "But I'll bet you can do even better!"

"Take THIS!" he called out, shooting a lightning bolt to Ed, who, due to the close range, could only attempt to defend from the sudden electric burst.

Streak attacks Ed with Lightning Strike (3 Bs's), inflicting 602 damage to SP (2,395 -> 1,793) and 150 damage to HP (1,800 -> 1,650).

"Oh, ho ho!" Ed remarked, his body smoking and crackling with leftover elemental energy. "You wanna play laser tag?" He immediately held his hand out in front of him, and began to build energy for his next move. A blue energy ball began to form, but it was mixed with white flashes of energy.

Ed begins to charge ???, using up 3 BS's, but holds it for next turn.

"What...?" Streak said, turning into his light form and backing away. "This attack looks like it could be trouble...!"

He raised his hands above his head, charging a large crackling energy ball and shooting it, the ball containing the rest of his energy...

Ed fired his attack in turn, calling out the attack name: "Sphere of the Sphinx!!"

The two energy balls met in the middle of the two fighters. For a while, neither side seemed to be gaining ground. As soon as the two attacks detonated in the middle, Streak and Ed charged each other again. Though the winner wasn't clear, the attack Ed had landed on Streak from earlier seemed to be the deciding factor in the match. Thus, it was the Saiyan Ed who had won that particular round.

"...Maybe..." Streak choked a little, his spit backing up into his throat from the force of the decisive blow, "a little too well..."

"Aw, come here, brave soldier, you did a good job!" Ed happily remarked. Though, as the two made their way back home for some relaxation, the hedgehog began to wonder:
