Episode #5: Blast from the Past

As Streak went off on his own, the others reconvened on the training field.

"Alright, we'd better try not to hurt each other too much..." said Drew. "I'm currently the strongest member of this team, so...Makuta, Zach, Corey, all of you against me...everyone else, spar with your teams."

Tai Ma, meanwhile, decided to join in the fun with Jasper, Terra, and Alicia. (George Takei, I SWEAR TO GOD--)

Jasper and Tai Ma looked into each others eyes for a while in an awkward silence "you know I've gotten stronger since the last time we fought" said Tai Ma with a serious face.

"Im.....sure you have" said the android to the saiyan "ok guys break it up" said Terra with a slap of his hands in order to get their attention. "Ok so i say we do the same as last time, free for all" said Alicia to no objection.

The four took a few steps away from each other and positioned themselves in the shape of a square "Ready......" said Terra as everyone got ready to charge "Go!" yelled Tai Ma as everyone charged in.

Makuta, Zach and Corey stood off with Drew. Drew obviously wasn't going to attack first, so Makuta made his way towards him, using a afterimage for confusion. Makuta appeared in mid air above Drew, and tried for an Axle Kick. Drew raised his arm, and blocked the Namekian's foot with his forearm. Makuta jumped back, skidding on the ground.

Terra elbowed Jasper back a bit and braced himself as Alicia attempted to kick him. Terra and Alicia started to exchange blows before Alicia knocked Terra back a few inches before he recovered. Alicia grinned as she looked at Terra. Terra did the same but was caught off guard by a surprise attack from Jasper.

After knocking Terra away Jasper charged to Tai Ma ready to throw a punch but Tai Ma faked him out and knocked him to the ground. Jasper rolled on the ground to evade the next attack then blasted Tai Ma sending him back.

Terra and Alicia were trading punches for a while until Tai Ma jumped in knocking them down as Jasper charged in to attack as well. Terra caught himself and charged back up to Tai Ma while Alicia landed feet first on the ground and charged at Jasper.

Tai ma saw Terra and started barraging him with jabs and kicks. Terra in return dodged and or block the attacks. Tai ma punched Terra back while throwing small ki bolts. Terra landed on the ground and started to deflect the bolts.

Alicia and Jasper exchanged blows for a few seconds before Jasper's speed got the better of Alicia, knocking her into the air. Tai ma and Jasper eyed each other and started to attack one another.

Terra rose from the ground and looked at Alicia. "Masenko!" He heard as he watched a spiraling energy beam start to fly closer towards him. At the last second Terra hit the Earth beneath him and gestured his arm upwards. A slab of the Earth quickly heightened in front of Terra. Alicia's Masenko hit the slab. The beam dispersed as the slab crumbled. "heh..." Terra smirked

Zach charged forth with a punch, which Drew blocked. The two grinned at each other, and proceeded to get into a melee clash. Somehow, Zach managed to slam Drew away. Corey charged in at this point, and Drew found himself subtly impressed with his younger cousin's speed.

Jasper and Tai Ma meet punch for punch in a clash of power each not willing to give an inch eventually locking hands trying to push one another back, the two landed on the ground still in lock pushing as hard as they could.

the floor started to crumble from the force of the seemingly even in power but soon Jasper's strength began to prove too much for Tai Ma as he started to push the saiyan back "impressive" grunted Tai Ma with a smile. "your not half bad yourself" said Jasper returning a smile as well, Tai Ma let go of Jasper and moved to the side quick making the android lose balance for a bit then tackled him on the side sending him flying to the distracted Terra.

Corey used his momentum to do a full body tackle on Drew.Corey moved out of the way as Zach then made his way in, and sent Drew into the air with a uppercut. For a moment Drew seemed to be laying on air, and Makuta appeared behind him. Putting his right hands index and middle finger on Drew's back, Makuta murmured the techniques name apparently.

"Shadow of the Dancing Leaf" Makuta said. He preceded to flip Drew around, and attempted to kick him mid movement, but Drew lifted an arm in defense. Makuta cracked a smile, then flipped around himself, and slammed his fore arm into Drew, sending the Saiyan down towards Earth. Makuta didn't let up with him, and punched him in the stomach. "I'm not done yet!" he yelled, flipping around one last time, kicking Drew in the stomach just as he hit the ground. "Lions Barrage!"

Makuta was sent flying back from the force of the impact, breathing hard.

Terra turned quickly and caught Tai ma and helped him on his feet. Alicia took a moment to think. She put her hand over her head and pumped energy into an energy ball. "MASENKO!" She shouted as the energy intensified. "Again?!" Terra asked as he looked at Alicia. Jasper and Tai ma where at it again. "So much for a free for all..." Terra said as he jumped at the sound of Alicia's voice. "HAA!" She screamed as the beam shot out from her hands. "Come on honey!" Terra said as he took a defensive stance.

Tai Ma jumped back in order to get some distance from Jasper "oh no you dont!" said Jasper he charged a ki ball that turned into a fire ball as he threw it "huh?" thought Jasper "a fire elementalist?" thought Tai Ma as he dodged the fire ball.

Jasper was looking at his hands in confusion and Tai Ma noticed this and wanted to take full advantage as he cupped his hands "Kamehame--HA!" he said quickly as he shot the kamehameha at Jasper.

At the last second Jasper looked to see the beam heading in his direction and rose his arms to block it. Tai Ma continued to push the the kamehameha on Jasper in an attempt to knock him back. "im not done yet!" yelled Jasper as he finally extended his arms and began to absorb the Kamehameha.

Drew lay flat on the ground for a moment, completely stunned from the attack. He eventually caught his breath long enough for him to jump back on his feet.

"Nice one, Makuta," said Drew, still catching his breath. Corey leapt at him, and Drew leapt behind Corey, and grabbed a fistful of brown hair.

"You...really need to cut this, Cor." the oldest of the trio said.

"You're not my dad!" Corey retorted, kicking Drew away and forcing Drew to release his grip.

Elsewhere, in the labs of the Super School, Gero and Utonium were talking.

"Good thing your ancestor had so many labs..." said Utonium. "We wouldn't have been able to retrieve these DNA samples...even if this warrior decays away in three years, it should be enough."

"Terra, want to try our new technique?" Alicia asked looking at Terra. "Your not going to back stab me again are you?" Terra asked as he kept eye on Alicia. "No..i just want to see how effective the technique is" Alicia replied. "Fine...but lets hold back...you heard Drew, we don't' need to damage each other." Terra suggested as he formed two Ki balls in his hand. He then fired them at Jasper.

Tai ma had let go of the blast, knowing that if Jasper absorbed it fully, it could be bad. and noticed Terra's ki balls. "Look out!" He shouted as Jasper turned. He saw them and blocked. They hit, but didn't do much damage. "Well that was a waste.." He said putting his guard down. Alicia came into view and punched Jasper making him flinch back a bit. Terra came from behind and back handed Jasper. Alicia finished the combo by smashing Jasper down into the ground. Terra and Alicia jumped back. They landed with their backs facing each other. Terra lifted up his right hand as Alicia lifted up her left hand. They shot an energy beam from their hands which spiraled towards Jasper.

"no time to dodge it!" said Jasper as a red aura surrounded his body "hes gonna use that move?" wondered Tai Ma as he prepared for the worse. "you can control it Jasper...you can control IT!" Jasper said as his aura exploded out in an orb or red energy no bigger then 4 or 5 feet around his body.

Terra and Alicia's attack hit Jasper's aura pushing him back a bit "Is that the same move he used back then?" asked Alicia "yeah but hes using it like a shield instead of an attack" said Terra as he and Alicia pushed harder onto the attack.

A few minutes passed, and soon Gero and Utonium were staring at a Namekian. His skin color was a sickly pale green instead of the darker green Makuta had. Also, his outfit consisted of a black jumpsuit with the insignia of the SIA on the chest. This was their project, a Namek made of old DNA samples.

Drew prepared to continue the spar, when suddenly, he sensed something.

"What's...what's that power?"

Streak, who had his scouter on, picked up what Drew said.

"Power Level...600?!"

"You were created for a sole purpose. That purpose is to destroy the Earth's Special Forces. Your body may not be the greatest, but we did what we could with the millenium-old DNA we were given..." Gero said.

"..." the Namek said nothing, though his face contorted slightly in pain.

"You're probably feeling the side effects of the cloning. Three years, at minimum, is your lifespan." Utonium confirmed. "Project P, you were created from the cells of King Piccolo and his reincarnation from the past. You shall be referred to as King Piccolo the Third..."

Tai Ma while watching the struggle between Jasper's aura explosion and Terra and Alicia's energy beam got a call on his scouter "This is Tai Ma" the saiyan said. "Tai Ma we got a problem" said Drew on the scouter causing Tai Ma to check himself "whoa...600...." he said in a shocked voice.

Tai Ma yelled over to the others "Guys!, we got a high power level reading of 600!" yelled Tai Ma catching Terra and Alicia's attention. Jasper knowing he was running low on energy let gown his shield and absorbed Terra and Alicia's attack to replenish his energy.

"Jasper what are you?" started Alicia before Terra cut her off "let him for a little bit, its the quickest way for him to recover" he said . after a while they stopped the attack and the four of them made their way to the others.

The newly christened King Piccolo III wasted no time in leaving to fulfill what he knew was to be his sole purpose in life. As he flew, he only whispered two words, sadly, to himself.

"...kill me..."

"What could this be...?" Corey asked himself, not at all sure what was going on.

"That power..." Makuta said aloud. He could sense it in the distance.

"And boy is it coming fast..." Zach said.

They just keep stepping up there fighters...

Terra, Alicia, and Jasper landed next to the others looking to the direction of the possible new threat. Terra and Alicia got together in a back to back fighting pose as the silhouette started to come into view.

Being a Namekian, Makuta's eyes saw the threat first.

He couldn't move. He didn't breath...

the figure slowly descended to the ground in front of the E.S.F leaving a shocked look on everyone's face "It's.....a Namekian...." said Drew "but is skin color is so pale....how can that be" said Tai Ma.

Makuta took a few step forward with his face a total blank before finally saying "Its.....king piccolo..."

"It...it can't be...!" Corey said, remembering something from history. "He and his reincarnation died out years ago...there's no way any Piccolos should be alive..."

"That, I can answer before I fulfill my purpose..." Piccolo III spoke up. "...I was born through cloning of age-old DNA samples. It's why I look like this. Even if I win...I won't live much longer..."

Jasper walked past Makuta "So....Utonium just cant leave the past alone can he?..." said Jasper with anger in his eyes. "He cares not what he uses so long as his enemy's are dead" said King Piccolo III.

Jasper charged at the pale Namekian and threw a power full punch that was blocked with ease "you cannot defeat me Android 0, you and the rest will die by my hands" Said King Piccolo III as he knocked Jasper back to the others.

"Keeps control of your anger Jasper" said Drew as he stood in front of Jasper. "everyone get ready, this spar just turned into a team deathmatch so get ready...it starts now" he finished as he and the others charged in.

Makuta was the only one to not charge in. He just fell to his knee's, mind in protest to what he was seeing.

King Piccolo...I can't... is it because of what I know of him..or that he is Namekian? Makuta yelled in his mind. His body refused to get up and fight, kinda like this writer when it comes to writing right about now.

Terra and Alicia stopped. "We better take these weights off..." Terra suggested as Alicia nodded and took of her weighted coat. Terra did the same as he rose his cape over his head and placed it down gently.

"Alright, lets do this..." Alicia said as she got in a fighting stance. "What's up with Makuta?" Terra asked as he watched Makuta kneel in somewhat distress.
